After fully examining the evidence, a grand jury decided that not only had Planned Parenthood done nothing illegal…but the creators of the anti-Planned Parenthood videos at the center of the investigation were actually criminals!
On Monday, a grand jury in Houston investigating accusations of misconduct against Planned Parenthood has decided that after reviewing the evidence, the real criminals in this case are the anti-abortion activists who made the series of bogus videos attacking Planned Parenthood over the summer.
The two activists, David Daleiden and and Sandra Merritt, are now facing two charges of tampering with a governmental record, which is a second degree felony carrying up to a 20 year prison sentence, and the purchase and sale of human organs, which is a misdemeanor.
It’s ironic…or maybe karma…that they were charged with the sale and purchase of human organs because the activists and the organization they are affiliated with, The Center For Medical Progress, have desperately been trying to convince people that Planned Parenthood has been illegally selling baby parts for profit. For their part, Planned Parenthood has been found of no illegal wrong doing.
It’s also very interesting that the grand jury decided to indict the activists at all because they were originally convened to look into allegations against Planned Parenthood based on the videos made by the activists and The Center For Medical Progress. But after a two-month long investigation they decided not to indict Planned Parenthood, and instead to indict Daleiden and Merritt.
