Michelle Obama just gave the most powerful and emotional speech we’ve heard yet denouncing Trump’s disgusting words and behavior. Every woman in this country really should watch this speech.
By any measure Donald Trump has had a horrendous couple of weeks. Particularly since the vulgar tape came out last Friday. In the tape, Trump was heard bragging to Billy Bush about sexually assaulting women. And, in the days following, more than a dozen women have come forward to confirm Trump’s own vile words.
Trump continues to attempt to defend the horrible things he has said about women by saying “a lot of that was done for the purpose of entertainment.”
I’m sorry but I fail to see how disrespecting and degrading women is remotely entertaining.
And I’m not alone. The majority of women in this country…along with countless decent men….are completely repulsed by these new revelations. But the most pathetic thing is that we really shouldn’t be surprised by any of this. Trump has been a case study in disrespecting women all along. But finally…finally…the country has had enough.
And now we are literally at the point where the First Lady of our country feels compelled to address Trump’s disgusting words and behavior.
On Thursday afternoon, Michelle Obama spoke to a crowd in Manchester, New Hampshire. And she gave an incredibly powerful and emotional speech about Trump’s sleazy actions and the effects they will have on the nation…especially our children.
FLOTUS is one of the best people to deliver this incredibly important message. Her approval rating is around 65% and people respect her and what she has to say. Today she gave a heart-felt speech that really connected with the audience, and her words will resonate with all women. I don’t see any way that Trump or his surrogates could successfully attack her over this.
Arguably this is the best speech I’ve ever heard from Michelle Obama. And it’s possibly the best speech I’ve heard this entire campaign.
