Both Clinton and Trump gave Saturday Night Live plenty of fodder this week. At times during the third and final Presidential debate it was hard to tell if we were watching Donald Trump or Alec Baldwin up there with Hillary Clinton. And SNL wasted no time turning it into another hilarious skit.
This weekend Saturday Night Live took on Wednesday night’s third and final Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Tom Hanks was the guest host on SNL this week and he played Fox’s Chris Wallace as the moderator. Alec Baldwin was back in his brilliant role impersonating Trump. And Emmy award winning Kate McKinnon was back playing Hillary.
The opening skit took on the allegations of sexual assault against Trump this week. Hanks’ Wallace asked Baldwin’s Trump if he still stood by his claims of innocence. He answered,
“Chris, of course I do, I’m completely innocent. I’ve said this before and I will say this again. No one has more respect for women than I do.”
Then we saw scenes of people hysterically laughing. Hanks then stepped in and said, “Alright, settle down, settle down, entire planet.”
SNL also went after Trump’s insistence that the election is rigged. Hanks said, “It has become very clear that you are probably going to lose.” Baldwin responded, “Correct.”
When he’s asked whether or not he would accept the results of the election, Baldwin responded,
“I will look at it at the time. Because quite frankly, this whole thing is rigged. Even the media. Every day I turn on the news and all of the newscasters are making me look so bad … By taking all of the things I say and all of the things I do and putting them on TV.”
