Watch Mike Pence Squirm Trying To Defend A Big Trump Lie -VIDEO

After the disastrous week Donald Trump just had, perhaps the only person willing to go on the Sunday shows was Mike Pence. But if this Pence interview is any indication, I’d say it’s gonna be a very long and painful four years for the Veep.

In the past week, Donald Trump has tweeted outright lies about voter fraud and his loss in the popular vote. He invited the insane and murderous leader of the Philippines to come to the White House. He told Pakistan that he would support and assist them in anything they needed. He called the President of Taiwan, breaking a 40-year precedent and royally pissing off China. And he handed out $7 million in corporate welfare to Carrier who is now sending over half of their jobs to Mexico.

In other words, the shit-show is now in full swing.

I’m guessing that, after a week like this, there probably weren’t too many surrogates volunteering to go on the Sunday morning shows. But one lap dog Trump can always count on is Mike Pence.

Oddly enough, Pence repeatedly called all of Trump’s major mistakes this week “refreshing.” Seriously, they’ve had all week to come up with some kind of spin for these debacles, and the best they could come up with was “refreshing??”

One of the shows Pence appeared on this week was ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos. And one of the things Stephanopoulos asked him about was a tweet Trump sent out declaring that he actually won the popular vote if you discount the 3 million illegal votes for Hillary.

Of course, this is a lie. And of course, there is absolutely no evidence of this. But this is Trump we’re talking about here….so truth just doesn’t matter. Facts? We don’t need no stinking facts!

But I do have to admit that watching the smug-faced Pence try to figure out some way to defend this big Trump lie was really quite entertaining.
