If you thought that Donald Trump’s sexual assault victims had given up, you were wrong.
Lawyer Gloria Allred told reporters on Tuesday that one of the women who accused Donald Trump of sexual assault has filed a lawsuit against the President-elect.
Summer Zervos, along with Allred, held a press conference today at 11:30 a.m. PST to announce the lawsuit. (live feed below)

The lawsuit alleges that Donald Trump lied about his sexual assault and disparaged Summer Zervos. She has asked Trump to retract the comments he said about her. But he refused so she felt she had no choice but to sue for defamation.
Zervos said that she will drop her suit if Trump makes a public statement saying that she is telling the truth. And if he does she will seek no compensation for damages or law fees.
Ms. Zervos has taken and passed a lie detector test. Trump has not.
In the month before the election multiple women came forward accusing Trump of sexual misconduct over the past 30 years. Most of the accusations came after the release of an Access Hollywood tape of Trump talking openly to the show’s host Billy Bush.
On the tape Trump is heard bragging about kissing and grabbing women by the genitals without their consent. He boasted that he could do anything he wanted to women because he was a celebrity.
The women who stepped up to make their accusations public recounted stories about their experiences with Trump that mirrored Trump’s own words.
And now one of the accusers has decided to actually file suit against Trump.
Gloria Allred has already represented at least three of Trump’s accusers. They include former Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos, Jessica Drake, an adult film star, and former Miss USA contestant Temple Taggart.
Allred announced at the press conference that she and several of Trump’s accusers will be marching in the DC Women’s March on Saturday.
Allred also made herself clear to Trump.
“Please understand that you will not intimidate me. Others who are smarter, richer and more famous than you have tried and failed.”
