Hillary Calls For More Resistance In New Video Message To Democrats -VIDEO

In one of her first appearances since the election, Hillary stepped back into the public political arena Friday to promise Dems that she will fight Trump and his agenda with them “every step of the way.”

On Friday, Hillary Clinton put out a new video encouraging Democrats and the resistance movement. This is one of the first times she has publicly spoken out about politics and Trump since the election. And at a time when Dems are searching for new leadership, it’s good to know that we also have our former leaders staying active in the fight and helping to rebuild the party.

Democrats are in Atlanta this weekend to elect the new DNC Chair. And Hillary’s surprise video message aired to a cheering crowd at a party event on Friday.

Hillary said,

“We as Democrats must move forward with courage, confidence, and optimism, and stay focused on the elections we must win this year and next. Let resistance plus persistence equal progress for our party and our country.”

“Keep fighting,” she encouraged. “I’ll be right there with you every step of the way.”

Clinton acknowledged that there is a divide in the party. But she gave a message of unity by talking about the party platform that she and Bernie Sanders wrote together during the campaign.

“Ideas we championed are now inspiring leaders and activists across our country,” she said.

She also said about the resistance,

“Nearly 66 million votes are fueling grassroots energy and activism. And everywhere, people are marching, protesting, tweeting, speaking out, and working for an America that’s hopeful, inclusive, and big-hearted.”

Hillary went on to say that among the millions of Americans who are marching in the streets, and attending Town Halls, and calling and writing their representatives, there are “future mayors, city and state officials, governors, members of congress…”

“Even,” she added, “future presidents.”
