Trump is not the only incompetent idiot in this administration.
There has been such a barrage of outrageous and disgusting behavior coming from Donald Trump that it’s easy to forget how incompetent and deplorable the rest of his cabinet really is.
Ben Carson fits the category for sure.
It’s hard to tell why Trump put Ben Carson in charge of Housing and Urban Development. But, like most of Trump’s administration, Carson has no business running any government agency.
On Monday, Carson held his first HUD staff meeting. I’m assuming that in his mind he was giving a really inspirational speech. But it came off more as insane ramblings.
At one point Carson told his staff that slaves were “immigrants.”
Yes really.
He said,
“That’s what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity. There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less.” He added, “They too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land.”
There is just so much NO about that statement.
No, the people who were forced here “in the bottom of slave ships” did not come here in search of their dreams and opportunity. No, they were definitely not “immigrants.” And no, Ben Carson does not have a grasp on reality.
