FLOTUS Suggests Sick Children Should Use ‘Gift Of Nature’; While Trump Taking Away Their Health Insurance

Apparently Melania Trump is not worried that her husband is about to take away health insurance from 13 million American children. She suggests we can all just depend on “the gift of nature” to heal the sick kids.

On Wednesday Melania Trump toured a Children’s Hospital in Washington D.C. And she made a rare public statement about children’s healthcare.

The First Lady wanted to inform the American people “how the gift of nature and the beauties of the outdoors can contribute to the healing process.”

According to a statement released by the hospital, Melania said,

“I am a passionate believer in integrating and interpreting nature’s elements into our daily lives to create a warm, nurturing and positive environment. I believe that these same natural benefits can be instrumental to enhancing the health and well-being of all children. It is important to me that children can recognize, identify and express their feelings in order to promote their mental wellness and healing process.”

Perhaps at any other time the First Lady’s statement would be ignored. Many people agree with taking a holistic approach to healthcare. But, considering her husband and the Republicans are talking about taking away health insurance from millions of Americans, including 13 million children, without a replacement, her words are remarkable.

She may have meant well. But it’s not a holistic approach if parents can’t afford to take their child to a doctor. And I’m not sure how much nature is going to help after her husband eliminates the EPA.

Melania will never have to worry about her child having access to the best medical care. Apparently, she’s also not worrying too much about all of the children who aren’t so fortunate.

But I’m sure everything will be just fine for sick poor kids. After all, they can always enjoy the flowers.
