Mexican Congressman Scales US Border Fence To Prove A Point To Trump

Trump’s big beautiful wall at the US/Mexico border is a ridiculous idea. And a Mexican politician just proved it.

Braulio Guerra is a Mexican Congressman from the state of Queretaro. And he just went to great lengths, or should I say great heights, to make a point to Donald Trump.

On Wednesday Guerra scaled the 30-foot tall border fence where it separates the Mexican city of Tijuana from the US. And then he tweeted pictures of himself sitting on top.

The Congressman said that Trump’s wall is “unnecessary” and “totally absurd.”

In a video Guerra posted of himself sitting on the fence, he said,

“I was able to scale it, climb it, and sit myself right here. It would be simple for me to jump into the United States, which shows that it is unnecessary and totally absurd to build a wall.”

“You can climb it with great ease, one climbs in an instant. I climbed it in Tijuana, one of the highest parts, even from a distance this looks very complex, but there are young people that go up and down, at all times.”

He also pointed out,

“It’s easy, and it shows how unnecessary this project, this political rhetoric from Donald Trump, is.”

In one of Guerra’s pictures, there are two other men on the fence. The Congressman said the men weren’t with him, but they easily climbed the fence while he was there.

The video Guerra posted is in Spanish. But even if you don’t speak the language, his point is clear. The post reads,

“There are many dangers for our people. Human rights, principles and dignity are non-negotiable. #Mexico”
