House Republican Has Melt-Down At Town Hall: Taxpayers Do Not Pay My Salary! -VIDEO

“Bullcrap! I pay for myself!”

This week Representative Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) held a Town Hall in his home district. And it didn’t go well.

Apparently Mr. Mullin is very confused about where his $174,000 a year salary comes from. Or maybe he just thinks his constituents are really stupid.

Unfortunately for Mullin, voters are a whole lot smarter and more informed than he thinks.

At his Town Hall angry constituents told Mullin he needs to do his job because he works for them. After someone in the audience pointed out the fact that they are paying his salary, Mullin had a melt-down.

“You said you pay for me to do this. Bullcrap. I pay for myself. I pay enough taxes before I ever got there and continue to through my company to pay my own salary. This is a service. No one here pays me to go. I do it as an honor and a service,” Mullin barked.

Last month Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) said about fellow Republican Devin Nunes, “You’ve got to keep in mind who he works for. He works for the president. And he answers to the president.” And now we hear these ridiculous words from Markwayne Mullin. Clearly the Republicans don’t understand who they work for.

Mullin’s entire Town Hall was contentious. At one point, while he was talking about Obamacare, a woman spoke out in disagreement with him. Mullin’s response was both disrespectful and condescending. It would be shocking too, if we weren’t getting so used to the new Trump-Republican Party being so deplorable.

Instead of addressing the woman’s concerns, Mullin said,

“Ma’am please. I know you had a lot of coffee this morning but please just…give me a second.”

What the Republicans haven’t figured out yet is that people are paying attention. They know what’s going on, and they’re pissed. And, in 2018, they’re going to show these assholes that not only do they work for us. They also can be fired by us.
