Hillary Clinton just gave an extraordinary fiery speech at Wellesley College. And she absolutely destroyed Donald Trump.
If you thought that Hillary Clinton was going fade away or step out of politics following her defeat in the presidential election, you were sorely mistaken.
On Friday, Hillary gave the commencement speech at her alma mater, Wellesley College. And she knocked it out of the park. She was relaxed and funny and inspiring; and she threw some hard-core punches at Trump. I really wish that we had seen more of this Hillary on the campaign trail.
She told the audience that there are parallels between what we’re going through now and what the country went through when she graduated from college in 1969.
“We were furious about the past presidential election of a man whose presidency would eventually end in disgrace with his impeachment for obstruction of justice.”
She continued,
“After firing the person running the investigation into him at the Department of Justice. But here’s what I want you to know. We got through that tumultuous time, and once again we began to thrive as our society changed laws and opened the circle of opportunity and rights wider and wider for more Americans.”
Hillary went after Trump about his lies and alternative facts. She also went after his immoral budget proposal and his corruption. And, as she destroyed Trump, she did it all without ever saying his name.
She also had some very funny moments including calling herself a “nasty woman.”
She assured the grads that she was OK saying,
“You may have heard that things didn’t exactly go the way I planned. But you know what? I’m doing OK…..Chardonnay helps.”
