Just when you thought that this administration couldn’t possibly get any more vile, a Trump Cabinet member says that the Syria missile strike last month was “after-dinner entertainment” at Mar-a-Lago.
On April 6, Trump and several members of his administration hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mar-a-Lago. And, while they were all having dinner, Trump launched a missile strike against Syria.
And now, a Cabinet member who was in attendance is giving a very disturbing account of the events that night.
On Monday, billionaire Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross spoke at the Milken Institute Global Conference about the perspective at Mar-a-Lago during the attack.
“Just as dessert was being served, the president explained to Mr. Xi he had something he wanted to tell him, which was the launching of 59 missiles into Syria. It was in lieu of after-dinner entertainment.”
While Ross and the audience laughed, Ross added,
“The thing was, it didn’t cost the president anything to have that entertainment.”
Maybe bombing Syria didn’t cost Trump anything. But you know who did pay for Trump’s “entertainment?” Me and you. Taxpayers paid for his little game to the tune of $60 million. And for those of us living over here in reality, this missile strike was no laughing matter.
