“The deception is mind-boggling! Why are we getting told all these LIES??”
You know that things are getting bad when this is even happening on Fox News. Of course, Fox still has their share of bat-shit-crazy Trumpsuckers on the air. But Shep Smith and Chris Wallace seem to be really trying to be honest journalists as of late.
On Friday, Chris Wallace appeared with Smith on Shepard Smith Reporting. The men discussed the new revelations about Don Jr.’s collusion meeting with a Russian lawyer. And Smith was pissed about all of the lying.
We’ve now been told lie after lie about Jr.’s meeting.
- First there were no meetings.
- Then there was a meeting but Jr. didn’t know what the meeting was supposed to be about.
- Then the meeting was about Russian adoptions.
- Then the meeting was about getting dirt on Hillary from a lawyer representing the Russian government.
- Then there were only four people in the room.
- And now today we find out there were at least eight people in the meeting.
I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if we find out tomorrow that Trump himself was in the room or listening in.
Chris Wallace said on Friday,
“We’ve been told a variety of stories. And who knows if we’ve gotten to the end of the story.”
Smith then broke the news that there were even more people in that meeting than we’ve been told.
An angry Smith then said,
“If there’s nothing there, and that’s what they tell us, why all these lies?? Why is it lie after lie after lie?? If you’re clean, come on clean. My grandmother used to say ‘Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.’ The deception, Chris, is mind-boggling.”
Smith also took a shot at Trump supporters.
“And there are still people out there who think we’re making it up. And one day they are going to realize we are not…and look around and go ‘Where are we? And why are we getting told all these lies?'”
Wallace replied, “I don’t know what to say.”
