Fox’s John Roberts Walks Out On Press Briefing: ‘Do It On Camera And I Might Stay’

The press is getting sick of this administration’s continual attempts to stifle the First Amendment. On Tuesday, one of them finally walked out in the middle of the no-cameras-allowed White House press briefing. And believe it or not, the brave reporter was from Fox!

There comes a point when rational righties can no longer deny the truth about this White House. When this administration starts losing even state-sponsored Fox News, you know the end is near.

Fox News certainly still has their share of bat-shit-crazy Trumpsuckers on the air. But recently there are some signs that sanity and honesty are trying to make their way to the surface on the Trump network.

Last week Chris Wallace and Shep Smith had a truthful, rational discussion on the air about all of the cover-up and lies coming out of this White House. An angry Smith said,

“If there’s nothing there, and that’s what they tell us, why all these lies?? Why is it lie after lie after lie?? If you’re clean, come on clean. My grandmother used to say ‘Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.’ The deception, Chris, is mind-boggling.”

And now today, another Fox reporter took a stand against this White House and walked out in the middle of a press conference where cameras were once again banned.

John Roberts finally had the balls to say “enough!”

On Tuesday, shortly after Sarah Huckabee Sanders began, Roberts stood up and walked out. When Sanders noticed he was leaving she said, “John Roberts is bored today. He’s stepping out.”

Roberts quickly shot back, “If it was on camera, I might not be.”

After Roberts left he tweeted:

Once it was over, Fox played the audio of the briefing in full. But Fox was the only network to do so on Tuesday. CNN and MSNBC are finally wising up and taking a stand against these games the White House is playing with the press.

Today was a good start. Now it’s time for the rest of the press to follow suit.
