If you really need a good laugh, and don’t we all right now, I got you. Keegan-Michael Key just brought Obama’s anger translator, Luther, out of retirement to go after Trump and the Republicans. And it’s pee-your-pants funny.
Key and Peele‘s Keegan-Michael Key made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Tuesday night. And he was hilarious. Key brought back the character Luther, who is famous for translating Obama’s mild words into what’s really going on in Obama’s head. You may remember him from his performance with Obama at the Correspondents’ Dinner as “Obama’s Anger Translator.”
On Tuesday night, Colbert read some recent quotes from Obama. And then he asked “Luther” to translate the words into Obama’s true feelings.
After Colbert read an Obama statement about healthcare, Luther’s eyes got huge. He translated Obama’s words into, “C’mon people. Trumpcare? More like Trump don’t care!” And then he shouted at the Republicans, “I would say you people make me sick, but I can’t afford that because I wouldn’t have no damn insurance! Y’all gonna kill some people!”
Key also made fun of Trump’s idea to make his wall transparent so that people don’t get hit in the head with 60-pound bags of drugs.
“I’ve seen a lot of movies from the ’80s, and I ain’t never seen nobody die from no damn head injury. Scarface, nope. Less Than Zero, nope. Cheech & Chong, drugs yes, but head injuries, no, no and no,” Luther said. “And 60 pounds of drugs? Who they got throwing these things over the wall? You telling me John Cena got a Mexican cousin over there?”
“Every one of y’all in the White House has lost your damn mind!”
At the end Luther says, “I’m back!” I really hope he is because we could all use something to laugh about right now.
