Professional athletes in the NFL and NBA have finally had enough of Trump’s bullshit. They’re sick of his racism and divisiveness and attacks on their free speech. And a whole lot of them are speaking out about it.
On Friday night at a rally in Alabama, Donald Trump did what he does best. He pissed off a whole lot of people.
Trump decided to throw out some red meat to his base at the rally by spewing some not-so-subtle racism aimed at professional athletes. Trump went after Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players who have taken a knee during the national anthem in protest to racism and police violence.
He said to the cheering crowd,
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘get that son of a bitch off the field right now! He is fired. He’s fired!'”
His comments drew a lot of backlash immediately. Then, on Saturday, Trump doubled down on his attack of the black players and their First Amendment rights.
If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL,or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect….

…our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem. If not, YOU'RE FIRED. Find something else to do!

And, as if it weren’t bad enough that he was starting a war with the NFL, Trump decided on Saturday morning to also go after NBA star Stephen Curry.
Curry’s team was invited to visit the White House after the Warriors won the championship. But, because of Trump’s behavior and rhetoric, Curry had decided not to go. Apparently, that really upset the man-child in the Oval.
Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team.Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!

Here’s some of the responses that Trump got from the athlete world on Saturday….
Colin Kaepernick’s mom:
Guess that makes me a proud bitch!
— Teresa Kaepernick (@B4IleaveU) September 23, 2017
Stephen Curry’s wife:
🙄Okay… Donate to earthquake relief here!!! https://t.co/HL5cvwbGtQ
— Ayesha Curry (@ayeshacurry) September 23, 2017
Then there’s the players themselves:
U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!

With everything that's going on in our country, why are YOU focused on who's kneeling and visiting the White House??? #StayInYoLane
— Chris Paul (@CP3) September 23, 2017
And I doubt he's man enough to call any of those players a son of a bitch to their face…

Only validates @Kaepernick7 bringing social injustice to light, he kneeled hoping it'd bring attention to what he believed in… Has it not?

A #POTUS whose name alone creates division and anger. Whose words inspire dissension and hatred can't possibly "Make America Great Again"
— Kobe Bryant (@kobebryant) September 23, 2017
You can't lead the world POTUS if you can't unite your own country
