Remember when Roy Moore’s wife tried to defend her husband’s anti-Semitism by saying that they had a Jewish lawyer? Turns out that lawyer is a huge fan of Doug Jones….not Roy Moore.
The night before Alabama’s special election to fill Jeff Sessions’ Senate seat, Roy Moore’s wife Kayla told the press and a roomful of supporters that her husband couldn’t be an anti-Semite because he had a Jewish lawyer.
“Fake news will tell you that we don’t care for Jews. I tell you all this because I’ve seen it also I just want to set the record straight while they’re here,” Kayla Moore said, waving at the media. “One of our attorneys is a Jew!”
Well that lawyer, Richard Jaffe, not only didn’t vote for his child-molesting client, he’s actually a huge supporter of Moore’s opponent Doug Jones. Jaffe told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday that he’s been close personal friends with Doug Jones for over 30 years. And Jaffe said that he both contributed to and helped raise money for Jones’ campaign.
Jaffe said, “There could not be a more passionate supporter of Doug than me!”
The night that Jones won the election Jaffe was with him and joined him for his victory speech. He also plans on being in the gallery on Wednesday when Jones is sworn into the United States Senate.
Sorry, Kayla and Roy Moore. You might have hired a Jewish lawyer to defend your son from drug charges in 2016. But that lawyer is no supporter of yours.
