Trump Dating Site Advertising Using Picture Of Convicted Child Sex Offender -

Seriously, you just can’t make this shit up.

Trump.Dating is a new dating site for Trump lovers. And they’re trying to get Trump fans to sign up by advertising with a picture of a convicted child sex offender. Yes, seriously.

I don’t know if the site used this picture on purpose or if it was some kind of weird accident. But, either way, it seems sort of fitting.

On the site’s main page there is a smiling couple wearing Trump hats. The man in the photo is William Barrett Riddleberger. It turns out that Riddleberger is not just a Trump fan, he’s also a convicted child sex offender. The woman in the picture is Riddleberger’s wife, Jodi.

According to North Carolina public records, Riddleberger was convicted in 1995 for filming himself having sex with a 15-year-old girl. He was 25 at the time.

After news reports broke on Tuesday about Riddleberger’s past, Trump.Dating removed the picture of the couple.

On Monday, there were news reports out criticizing the Conservative dating site because it only allows straight men and women to sign up for the service.

In 2011, the Riddlebergers acknowledged William’s conviction. The Triad City Beat reported on Tuesday that a friend of the couple’s, Jeff Hyde, was running for political office in 2011 in North Carolina. Jodi Riddleberger mentioned the incident on her Facebook page because she believed that Greensboro City Councilwoman, who is now the mayor, Nancy Vaughan, had discovered the conviction. And she was worried that the information was going to be leaked to the press to tank Hyde’s campaign.

According to the Miami Herald,

“[Riddleberger] told WRAL-TV that he’s “already paid (his) debt” for that charge. Records show he didn’t serve prison time.”
