Nancy Pelosi Sends Scathing Letter To Paul Ryan Demanding That Chairman Nunes Be Removed -

Pelosi has had enough of this bullshit. She is demanding that Paul Ryan remove the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes, from his position.

In March of last year, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes proved that he cannot be trusted because he is nothing more than a toady for Donald Trump.

Nunes made a big production in March of bringing classified information to the White House which he said showed illegal unmasking that took place in the Obama administration. It turned out that the information he brought to the White House was bogus information that he was given by the White House to begin with. It was a sham. And it was designed to protect Trump.

Now he’s up to it again.

Nunes has written a controversial memo claiming that there was corruption in the FBI under the Obama administration. Nunes never read the underlying classified information that his memo was supposedly based on. And the Democrats who have read the underlying documents say that Nunes’ memo is garbage. Both the FBI and the DOJ are opposed to releasing this memo because of its inaccuracies.

But the Republicans and Trump are determined to release the memo to the public anyway.

Donald Trump has reportedly been telling people that the Nunes memo will put an end to the Mueller investigation. That is the whole point of this bullshit memo.

On Thursday, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi sent a scathing letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan. Pelosi is demanding that Nunes be removed from his chairman role on the Intelligence Committee.

Pelosi wrote,

“The decision of Chairman Nunes and House Republicans to release a bogus memo has taken the GOP’s cover-up campaign to a new, completely unacceptable extreme.”

She added,

“It has now come to our attention that Congressman Nunes deliberately and materially altered the contents of the memo since it was voted on by the House Republicans. This action is not only dangerous, it is illegitimate, and violates House rules.

From the start, Congressman Nunes has disgraced the House Intelligence Committee. Since pledging to recuse himself from the Trump-Russia investigation, Congressman Nunes has abused his position to launch a highly unethical and dangerous cover-up campaign for the White House.”

Pelosi continued,

“Chairman Nunes’ deliberately dishonest actions make him unfit to serve as Chairman, and he must be immediately removed from this position… House Republicans’ pattern of obstruction and cover-up to hide the truth about the Trump-Russia scandal represents a threat to our intelligence and our national security… It is long overdue that you, as Speaker, put an end to this charade and hold Chairman Nunes and all Congressional Republicans accountable to the oath they have taken to support and defend the Constitution, and protect the American people.”
