John Oliver Releases New Best-Selling Book Taking Aim At Homophobic Mike Pence And His Gay Bunny

The Pence family has just put out a new children’s book about their pet bunny. But it’s being FAR outsold by the spoof book released by HBO’s John Oliver about the bunny’s gay relationship.

John Oliver from Last Week Tonight on HBO has just put out a new book taking aim at homophobic Mike Pence and his pet rabbit, Marlon Bundo. And, within 24 hours of the book’s release, it’s at #1 on Amazon’s best-seller list.

Oliver’s book is a spoof on the new book out by the Pence family, Marlon Bundo’s A Day in the Life of the Vice President. The Pence book was written by Pence’s daughter Charlotte and was illustrated by Pence’s wife.

Oliver’s book, A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo, was written by Last Week Tonight writer Jill Twiss and was illustrated by E.G. Keller. In Oliver’s book, Pence’s pet bunny falls in love with and marries another boy bunny.

Oliver announced the book launch on his show, saying that there were “a few small differences” between his book and Pence’s.

“Our rabbit has a bow tie,” Oliver explained. “Also, our story is about Marlon Bundo falling in love with another boy rabbit.”

The book’s antagonist, Stink Bug, is a homophobic anti-gay marriage politician who very much resembles Mike Pence.

Profits from Oliver’s book will go to the Trevor Foundation, which helps to prevent suicide of LGBT young people. Money from the book will also be donated to AIDS United, which is trying to end AIDS in the United States.

The company that published Pence’s book put out a statement on Monday saying, “It’s unfortunate that anyone would feel the need to ridicule an educational children’s book and turn it into something controversial and partisan.”

But it looks like Americans don’t agree. Based on the Amazon reviews and book sales Oliver’s book about gay bunny marriage is a huge hit.
