Longtime Trump Aide Fired And Escorted Out Of White House Because Of Serious Financial Crimes

Because of problems related to online gambling and tax crimes a longtime personal aide of Trump’s was fired and escorted out of the White House on Tuesday. They didn’t even let him get his jacket before they threw him out.

Welp. Another one bites the dust. All these “best people” that Trump has hired sure aren’t working out too well. The latest departure today is Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. But he wasn’t the only one.

On Tuesday, CNN reported,

“President Donald Trump’s longtime personal aide John McEntee was fired because he is currently under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security for serious financial crimes.”

And McEntee wasn’t just fired. He was escorted out of the White House, without even letting him collect his jacket or his personal belongings.

The Wall Street Journal says that McEntee was fired because of problems related to his security clearance. He couldn’t get clearance because he was under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security. According to the Journal, McEntee was being investigated for serious financial crimes related to online gambling and tax crimes.

McEntee has been with Trump since the beginning of the 2016 campaign. White House aides say that they were stunned by his removal Tuesday. CNN says that McEntee was “nearly constantly at the President’s side.”

“He was a near-constant presence in the West Wing, and was one of a select group of staffers who were often summoned by the President to the White House residence. He regularly traveled with Trump, and was seen boarding Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House as Trump headed for Pennsylvania on Saturday.”

But – to make this story even stranger – moments after news broke of McEntee’s ouster, the Trump campaign announced that they had just hired him. McEntee will apparently be working with Katrina Pierson, who was also rehired on Tuesday, as senior advisers to campaign operations.

“As we build out our operations for the 2018 mid-term elections and the 2020 reelection campaign, we are pleased to welcome back two outstanding members of our 2016 team,” Brad Parscale, Trump’s 2020 campaign manager, said in a statement. “We need the help of proven leaders such as Katrina and John to promote the President’s growing portfolio of achievements across the country.”

Looks like we can chalk Tuesday up as just another crazy day with the crazy corrupt Trump administration.
