“Anderson, I will tell you, these raids that occurred on Monday, they’re not the last raids. I know that for a fact.”
I don’t know how Michael Avenatti knows for a fact that there will be more raids soon for Trump’s inner circle. But I tend to want to believe him. He’s been right about everything else so far.
On Wednesday night, Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, appeared on CNN with Anderson Cooper. And he predicted that there will be more raids coming “within the next week.”
Avenatti said to Cooper,
“Anderson, I will tell you, these raids that occurred on Monday, they’re not the last raids. I know that for a fact. There are other raids that are contemplated. I anticipate them coming within the next week.”
Avenatti also correctly pointed out that Trump could go down for multiple things.
“Al Capone did not go down for murder, Anderson,” Avenatti said. “Al Capone went down for tax evasion, and this could very easily be a very similar situation.”
When Cooper pressed the lawyer for details, Avenatti declined to elaborate.
It’s worth noting that the raid Monday on Michael Cohen’s office was not done by Bob Mueller. According to Cohen’s lawyer Mueller referred this part of the investigation to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.
