The White House announced on Thursday that Donald Trump will be meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un in Singapore on June 12. Republicans are giddily calling for Trump to get the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts with North Korea. But I really don’t think this whole thing is going to go the way that Trump and his Republican enablers hope.
The one thing that Kim has wanted more than anything else is to be respected on the world stage and to be seen as an equal to the President of the United States. And this week, Donald Trump gave him exactly what he wanted. Trump actually praised him and called him an “honorable man” following the release of three prisoners. Kim is no honorable man.
Trump seems oblivious to the fact that he’s being played by the North Korean leader.
But while we await the train wreck that is likely coming, some people are already predicting the outcome of the Trump/Kim meeting.
Last month, comedian Dana Carvey appeared on TBS with Conan O’Brien. And he gave a hilarious prediction. Carvey thinks that when the two leaders meet there’s a good possibility that Trump will unhinge his jaw and just eat Kim Jong Un.
Carvey could be on to something. Anything is possible with this jackass in the White House. If he did chow down on Kim it wouldn’t even be the most bizarre thing he’s ever done.
