Former GOP Congressman: ‘There Is No Honor On My Side Of The Aisle’ -VIDEO

There are still some sane Republicans out there. Following the Peter Strzok hearing on Thursday, this former GOP Congressman said, “it was a humiliating day to be a Republican.”

On Friday, former Rep. David Jolly (R-FL) made an appearance on MSNBC to talk about the disastrous Congressional hearing with FBI agent Peter Strzok this week. Jolly said that Thursday’s hearing was a “humiliating day to be a Republican.”

“They behaved like children,” Jolly said. “This was not about getting answers from Strzok.”

Jolly has been a frequent critic of Trump and the Republican party since he left office in 2017. And his comments followed the joint public hearing of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees on Thursday to grill Peter Strzok over text messages he sent that were critical of Trump.

The hearing was an absolute circus with Democrats and Republicans devolving into shouting matches throughout the 10 hour affair. At one point Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) asked Strzok how many times he looked into his wife’s eyes and lied about having an extramarital affair with FBI attorney Lisa Page.

“You need your medication!” Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-N.J.) shouted at Gohmert after his outrageous statements.

Jolly said of the behavior at the hearing, this “has been part of the incremental strategy of both Trump” and “those in Congress who go along with him, to undermine the integrity of the investigation.”

Jolly added, “There is no honor on my side of the aisle.”
