Donald Trump’s disgusting behavior in Helsinki today is being called out by both the right and left. And yes, even Fox News.
On Monday, Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland. And it was a complete disaster. Even Fox News is calling him out.
Fox News’ Neil Cavuto was one of many who criticized Trump’s behavior on Monday. On Fox Business Network, Cavuto said that Trump’s refusal to take the side of his own intelligence community over Putin was “disgusting.”
“I’m sorry, it’s the only way I feel. it’s not a right or left thing to me, it’s just wrong,” Cavuto said. “A U.S. president on foreign soil talking to our biggest enemy or adversary or competitor … is essentially letting the guy get away with this, and not even offering a mild criticism. That sets us back a lot.”
During the press conference with Trump and Putin, our so-called president said that he “didn’t see any reason” why Russia would’ve hacked into our election. He also tore into the Mueller investigation saying that the probe was a “disaster for our country.”
The entire US intelligence community has said that Russia is responsible for meddling in the 2016 presidential election in an attempt to help Trump win the presidency. The bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee reached the same conclusion.
But today Trump said,
“He [Putin] just said it’s not Russia. I will say this, I don’t see any reason why it would be.”
