CNN’s Don Lemon shredded Trump after world leaders at the UN laughed at him on Tuesday.
On Tuesday morning, Donald Trump gave a speech in front of the United Nations General Assembly. And he completely humiliated himself.
At the very beginning of his speech, Trump used a line that he uses at all of his campaign rallies. He boasted that “my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.”
Usually, when Trump uses that ridiculous line his fans cheer and scream for him. But Tuesday morning, when he spewed the same nonsense to the UN, the entire world laughed at him.
He was clearly caught off guard when the room laughed at him. Taken aback, after pausing for a second, he responded, “It’s so true… I didn’t expect that reaction but it’s okay.”
So, on Tuesday night, CNN’s Don Lemon absolutely shredded Trump over his horrible performance.
Lemon began,
“The President of the United States is a man who prides himself in being a winner. A man who brags about his strength and being a fighter. A man who never met a red carpet he didn’t like. He basks in praise and cheer. Well today his bubble was burst on the world stage. Literally.”
Then Lemon showed the cringe-worthy tape of the UN General Assembly laughing at him.
“That is what happens,” Lemon said, “when you continually go back to the well of adoring crowds and supporters. Reality suddenly just smacks you in the face. World leaders essentially told the emperor he has no clothes.”
