This Fox News contributor took to Twitter on Thursday to call the women who have accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct “lying skanks.” Now he’s out of a job.
It’s a rare day that I can report Fox News doing the right thing. But today is one of those days.
Kevin Jackson is a conservative contributor at Fox News. And, on Thursday, he said some gross things about the women who have accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.
In the middle of Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony on Thursday, Jackson tweeted,
“Feminists are their own worst enemies, and enemy of women, Also, they want men to NEVER be believed. I’m not succumbing. TO HELL with the notion that women must be believed no matter what. Lying skanks is what these 3 women are, and we ALL know more.”
In another now-deleted tweet he wrote,
“#ChristineBlaseyFord academic problems came from her PROMISCUITY!” he wrote on Twitter during Ford’s Senate testimony. “Dang girl, stop opening your legs and OPEN A BOOK!”
Dr. Ford is a respected psychology professor at Palo Alto University. But Jackson argued that Ford actually has a “BE degree.”
“It’s not a Bachelors of Science, but a BOVINE EXCREMENT degree,” he wrote.
Jackson also said that Ford “looks rode hard and put up wet, as we say in the country.”
By Thursday night, Jackson was fired from Fox.
In a statement Fox said,
“[Jackson’s] comments on today’s hearings were reprehensible and do not reflect the values of FOX News.”
Like nearly everyone else at Fox, Jackson is a partisan hack. He has said other vile things on the network in the past. About liberal women he said, “leftist women are skanky for the most part.” So I’m not sure why this time Fox decided to fire him. But, for once, they actually did the right thing. So I can at least give them credit for that.
I’m really glad that he was finally fired. But what made him think that it was okay to publicly make those comments in the first place??
