Saturday Night Live‘s Kate McKinnon was mind-blowing as Robert Mueller. Absolutely brilliant!
This week, Kate McKinnon gave one of her best performances yet, when she played special counsel Robert Mueller on Saturday Night Live. She killed it!
Weekend Update anchor Colin Jost introduced McKinnon as Mueller. Her transformation was so good that I didn’t even recognize her at first.
“I wanted to come out here tonight to assure the American people that our investigation is progressing smoothly and we’re looking forward to a timely and orderly conclusion,” Mueller said.
When Jost asked her how things were going McKinnon’s Mueller smiled like the cat that ate the canary and said, “We’re good.” Then she pulled out a toothpick and said, “Situation’s under control.”
Mueller told Jost that he really wanted to tell him about the “big time” evidence that he had against Trump.
When Jost asked what Mueller would do if Trump fired him, he said, “It’s a little late for that. Cat’s out of the bag and the bags full of, how do I say this, Michael Flynn’s wiretaps.”
“You got to understand,” McKinnon’s Mueller told Jost, “the guy didn’t leave me a trail of breadcrumbs here, he left me full loaves.”
