Orrin Hatch: People Who Support Obamacare Are “The Stupidest, Dumbass People’ I’ve Ever Met

Republican Senator Orrin Hatch says that Obamacare is “the stupidest, dumbass bill” he has ever seen. And he says fans of Obamacare are “the stupidest, dumbass people” he has ever met.

On Thursday, the senior Senator from Utah, Republican Orrin Hatch, gave a keynote speech at a conservative think-tank in D.C., the American Enterprise Institute. Hatch was there to discuss Trump’s new tax scam law. He also bragged that the Republicans repealed the individual mandate for Obamacare.

“We also finally did away with the individual mandate tax that was established under that wonderful bill called Obamacare. Now if you didn’t catch on, I was being very sarcastic,” Hatch said. “That was the stupidest, dumbass bill that I’ve ever seen.”

He continued,

“Some of you may have loved it. If you do, you are one of the stupidest, dumbass people I’ve ever met. And there are a lot of them up there on Capitol Hill from time to time.”

Unfortunately for Trump and Hatch, the American people do not agree.

According to a new Kaiser poll, Obamacare now has its highest approval rating with the American people since its inception. 54 percent of the country now views the Affordable Care Act favorably.

The Kaiser Family Foundation credits independents for Obamacare’s growing popularity. Nearly 8 in 10 Republicans still have a negative view of Obama’s signature legislation, which was clear with Hatch’s stupid comments.

A spokesman for Hatch told the Deseret News that the Senator’s comments were “obviously” a joke.

“The comments were obviously made in jest, but what’s not a joke is the harm ObamaCare has caused for countless Utahns,” the spokesman said.

Fortunately for all of us, Hatch is retiring at the end of his term.
